Doctor Fired From NHS After Revealing New Weight Loss "Hack" That Big Pharma Wants Banned

A British GP claims she discovered a natural compound that causes the body to burn fat "24 hours a day" โ€” and says pharmaceutical companies had her struck off to protect their Ozempic profits.

A former NHS doctor has gone viral after posting a TikTok video claiming she was "silenced" by the medical establishment for revealing a natural weight loss method that she says is "more effective than Ozempic, with none of the side effects."

Dr. Sarah Kimura, 42, who practiced as a GP in Manchester for 14 years, says she discovered the compound โ€” a concentrated extract from the konjac root called "GlucoTrim" โ€” while researching metabolic disorders in Japanese centenarians.

"In my clinical observations, patients taking this extract lost an average of 2.3 stone in 8 weeks. No diet changes. No exercise. The body simply switched into what I call 'passive fat oxidation mode.' Big Pharma saw my results and panicked."

The Results

Dr. Kimura claims she ran an informal trial with 200 patients at her practice. The results, which have not been peer-reviewed, reportedly showed:

"The pharmaceutical industry makes ยฃ4.2 billion per year from weight loss drugs in the UK alone," Dr. Kimura told us. "Do you really think they'd let a ยฃ29 supplement destroy that? They had my medical licence reviewed within days of my TikTok going viral."

The Establishment Fights Back

The General Medical Council (GMC) told BBC Health that Dr. Kimura's licence was under review for "promoting unverified medical claims." Novo Nordisk, the maker of Ozempic and Wegovy, declined to comment.

But supporters aren't backing down. A Change.org petition titled "Reinstate Dr. Kimura" has gathered over 340,000 signatures. On social media, the hashtag #GlucoTrimGate has been viewed 80 million times.

"I've tried everything. Slimming World. Keto. Even asked my GP about Ozempic but the waiting list was 6 months. Ordered GlucoTrim after seeing this article. Down 1.5 stone in three weeks. My knees don't hurt anymore. I'm in shock."

How Does It Work?

According to Dr. Kimura, the konjac root extract works by activating AMPK โ€” an enzyme she calls the body's "master metabolic switch." When AMPK is activated, the body shifts from storing fat to burning it, even while sleeping.

"Your body is designed to burn fat," she says. "Modern processed food turned off the switch. GlucoTrim simply turns it back on. It's not a drug. It's not a stimulant. It's just giving your body what it needs."

NHS England issued a statement urging the public to "consult their GP before taking any supplement" and noted that "no supplement can replace a balanced diet and regular exercise."

Dr. Kimura has filed an appeal against the GMC's decision. A hearing is expected in September.
